Program Trust Fund

The Program Trust Fund was established in 1981 to accept gifts for endowment and capital projects. The endowment provides more than $1 million annually toward WPBT2's operating budget.

Annual membership contributions and underwriting grants keep the programs on the air; this support is designated for immediate operating needs and is absolutely critical to the station’s growth and development of WPBT. WPBT2’s future excellence depends on its ability to expand the endowment program and its ability to keep abreast of technology while maintaining the latest in facilities and equipment.

We invite you to join with WPBT2’s loyal supporters who are helping to assure the future of South Florida’s public television station by contributing to The Program Trust Fund. Gifts to the Fund come in many forms and can be tailored to fit your objectives. Some are bequests; some are in the form of annuities or trusts, which provide lifetime income to the donor; some are outright unrestricted gifts; some are restricted for specific programming; and still others are in honor of a loved one.

Bequests and the James I. Keller Society

The WPBT2’s Keller Society recognizes and thanks those generous individuals, who are leaving a future legacy to WPBT2. Members of the Keller Society have remembered WPBT2 in their estate plans in many ways—through their wills, retirement plans, life income plans and many other creative planned giving arrangements.

Making thoughtful charitable gifts can go hand-in-hand with preserving economic security for yourself and your loved ones. A will is one of the most popular vehicles for making a charitable gift through one’s estate. No matter how large or small, a bequest to WPBT2 will help ensure that public television will be available for future generations and create a legacy in your name.

A bequest may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your assets or a gift from the “residue” or “what’s left,” after providing adequately for your loved ones. Leaving a percentage or a portion of the residue allows for the size of your gift to vary over time with changes in the size of your estate.

Benefits of Keller Society membership include:

- With your permission you will be listed in the roster in Exploring 2, WPBT2’s donor magazine
- Invitation to the annual Keller Society luncheon
- Invitations to WPBT2 special events

We invite you to contact Armando Rodriguez at 305-424-4191 or armando_rodriguez@wpbt.org to discuss in confidence the many options available for making a planned gift.
