Mi Venezuela, a one-hour documentary, will explore the country that Christopher Columbus described in 1498 as “Heaven on Earth” as he dubbed it “Land of Grace.”

Venezuela is home to different people with diverse customs who share a love of family, community and their country.  This television program, slated to air in 2012, also celebrates Venezuela’s people and some of their most beloved traditions: Family gatherings, music and food all seasoned with a blend of influences. The program also illustrates how Venezuelans living in South Florida are working to maintain those traditions from afar.

The culture and the history come alive through the accounts, remembrances and descriptions of Venezuelan families, notable artists, journalists, musicians and many others.  Their memories and insights into their country reveal a vivid portrayal and a side of Venezuela rarely presented by the press.
